Recou Estate is located in the embrace of Birkini hills in a small village Zajelšje. Away from the everyday hustle and bustle we offer a unique environment where the body and mind can relax.
Slovenia is a perfect place on Earth to mountain bike! Our estate on the other hand is the perfect starting point to discover the diverse terrain it offers.
In a special room we offer common sleeping area which is perfect for complete companies of bikers. Visitors are surrounded by stone walls and the smell of nature, which rock them in the sweetest dreams. NECESSARY PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT.
At the Estate we have bikes available for hire. We offer several activities, from yoga to paintball (on certain dates). We also offer organized hikes and mountain bike tours in the surrounding hills.
We promote healthy way of life and good peasant food. At the same time, we follow principles of environmental conservation and responsible nature management. The essence of our philosophy is harmony with the environment.
Our estate was the host and organizer of a charitable event #NaMladih SS (future is based od young people), where we connected succesful slovenian enterpreneurs and young seekers of employment. One day event was full of interesting workshops, good food and intensive networking.

We hikers often find ourselves in a situation where we have spent a significant amount of money on a hiking boots, but they turn out to be “not-so” good. The most common problem, of course, are blisters! Here is one of the shoe lacing techniques that can save us from unnecessary nerve wrecking.
